Artcurial Wine Auction - Paris 23 & 24 February 2023 Results & Analysis
Once again, Artcurial, the top auction house in Paris, offered a top-class international selection.
The wine auction of 23 and 24 February 2023 had the best wines on offer that a wine connoisseur can wish for.
The focus was clearly in top growths from France.
Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne but also all other French wine regions were represented. Internationally, Tuscany, Piedmont and any other wine region of international standing was rather the exception.

- Artcurial offered 1311 auction lots Fine Wines and Rare Spirits.
- 650 wine lots from wine auction at Artcurial Encheres des Vins Paris on Friday & Saturday the 23& 24 could be processed and matched at the wine.network.
- The tradingvolume, in bottles, listed at wine.network, without mixed lots was 3.136
- The listed price volume 724.389,60 €.
- The average value per bottle was 230,99 €.
During this fine wine auction the biggest part - 1.991 bottles or converted 63,49 % came from the fine wine region of Bordeaux.
The winery Haut Brion from Bordeaux was most popular with a total of 5,64 % or 177 wine bottles it was set in first place in trading volume by wine lovers.
The most wanted single wine was the 1976 Latour Louis Corton Grancey in a 750 ml bottle.
The most coveted vintage at this wine trading day was the 1982 vintage, with 187 bottles or 5,96 %.
The 750 ml size achieved 85,65 % or 2.686 bottles in this wine auction.
Trading volume of lots with 12, were traded most.

The second place or a converted 20,15 % of the offers came from Burgundy. 632 wine bottles Burgundy were sold in the fine wine auction. In the ranking of most wanted wineries, the wines from the winery La Mission Haut Brion won second place with 145 auctioned wine bottles. The second best single wine achieved the 1974 La Mission Haut Brion in a 1.500 ml wine bottle. The result was fixed with more than 1,59 % of the trade amount or a converted 50 wine bottles.
Third place in wineries, with 136 wine bottles was Latour Louis, third place for single wines, with a total amount of 48 bottles was the 2005 Haut Brion. The third place in wine regions was awarded to Rhone with 208 or 6,63 % of the complete tradingvolume. In the vintage ranking the 2005 achieved the third place with an amount of 151 disposed bottles. The single wine with the third highest wine value, was a Domaine de la Romanee Conti - Romanee Conti, 1958 vintage, with a value of 6.350,00 € for a single 750 ml wine bottle. One of the least expensive wines was ranked third in the "more affordable wine price category". It went to a 2012 Henri Bourgeois - Pouilly Fume La Demoiselle de Bourgeois with a auction price of 7,50 € per 750 ml wine bottle.
In this wine auction the 1982th vintage was most auctioned. With a total of 187 bottles or 5,96 % he achieved the first rank. In the 750 ml bootle size 85,65 % or 2.686 bottles changed hands. 12th units, were most traded.
The vintage 1975 set the second most trading points. 184 wine bottles from this vintage went to a new owner. The trading volume six set the second most trading volume . The bottle size 1.500 ml was 398 times sold in bottles. The vintage 2005 reached the third most tradingpoints. 151 wine bottles from this vintage were sold. The tradingvolume one reached the third rank in this auction. 43 bottles from the bottle size 375 ml were auctioned.

The highest value in this trade came from Burgundy.
One wine bottle Leroy Musigny vintage 1999 in a 750 ml wine bottle got a new wine lover for 29.050,00 € per unit.
Second rank in the wine price ranking came from Bordeaux.
One bottle Petrus vintage 2000 in a 1.500 ml bottle was auctioned for 7.350,00 € per bottle.
Third rank in the wine value ranking is the Domaine de la Romanee Conti Romanee Conti from the vintage 1958. This wine optained a value of 6.350,00 € for the 750 ml bottle.
