Artcurial Encheres des Vins, Fine Wine Auction Paris 2022-06-23/24 “Restaurant Laurent”

In1860, it was named after its manager, le Laurent was born. The restaurants cellar is well known for the richness of its selection. It is a tribute to the selection of Philippe Bourguignon, retired director who was the “man” of the house for nearly 40 years, after having been elected best French Sommelier in 1978. Of particular note is a bottle of 1961 Romanee-Conti that was purchase at Taillevent by the Chais decades ago and hand-carried back by them. It’s been in their cellar ever since"
